Elizabeth Edwards is Head of Real Estate for BerlinHyp /Landesbank Berlin. She has over 30 years experience in the property industry, both the UK and Europe and unusually, has worked in the banking industry since 1988 as a property banker. She has financed a number of key properties in her time including construction of the Barclays headquarters in Canary Wharf as well as various major shopping centres and well known office buildings. She currently controls a loan book with a value of over £3 Billion.
Prior to her banking career, she worked on the privatisation of British Telecom, a major employment generation project for English Estates in Scotland and Liverpool as well as the creation of the Use Classes Order for the DTI.
She is an RICS Fellow, and a former Chairman of the LJB (now MATRICS) She is a member of the IPF and is on the Board of the Association of Property Bankers. She was President of the British Chapter of FIABCI.
